Analysis of the effect of plant extracts, natural (predominantly flavonoids) and synthetic molecules on: 1) vascular and gastrointestinal smooth muscle (in vitro isolated organs); 2) Ca2+ and K+ currents in single, acutely dissociated, myocytes as well as in cultured cells by the patch-clamp technique.
