Carmelo Scarpignato, MD, DSc, PharmD, FRCP, FEBGH, EuCP is Professor of Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology at the United Campus of Malta, Msida, Malta as well as Honorary Clinical Professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist & Gastroenterologist. Professor Scarpignato’s main research interests focus on digestive clinical pharmacology and nutraceuticals, upper GI pathophysiology and therapy as well pain medicine. In 2020 I graduated the Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology and in 2022 I took the master’s Degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies. Since November 2022 I’m a PhD in Drug Research and Innovative Treatments at the laboratory of Prof. Carla Ghelardini (University of Florence). Associate Professor of human nutrition at the University of Padua, Italy and Adjunct Investigator at the Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados (IMDEA)-Alimentación.
